Key Requirements

  • Formal education in Maritime studies
  • 8+ years ship board experience
  • 60 months actual sea time as certified officer
  • 18 months in senior rank (Chief Engineer or 1st/2nd Engineer)
  • Seagoing experience from tankers completed less than ten years ago
  • Accredited OCIMF SIRE inspector training eligibility
