Job Summary

  • As a mechanical engineer on the Test Hardware Fabrication team, you will have the opportunity to solve challenging, open-ended problems related to the fabrication and safety of ground support/test equipment in McGregor, TX.
  • Design and implement tooling and fabrication aids for a wide range of structural, mechanical, and fluid projects focused on increasing build safety, accelerating fabrication timelines, improving quality, and ensuring the as-built product meets engineering requirements.
  • Leverage feedback from technicians and engineers to drive improvements for work instructions and fabrication processes/planning.

Key Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, manufacturing, materials, or other engineering discipline
  • 1+ years of experience performing fabrication, assembly, and/or testing
  • Strong proficiency with 3D CAD software
  • Experience transitioning products from design to manufacturing
  • Experience with design for manufacture and assembly (DFMA)
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal oversite
