Job Summary

  • The Prototyping Supervisor formulates, recommends, and supervises projects in an assigned section of a research and development area to meet the organizations needs for the improvement and cost reduction of existing products and processes, as well as the introduction of new products and processes.
  • Coordinate and manage prototyping job requests for new product development, sustaining and operations, mentor and provide technical guidance to prototyping machinists, and use technical expertise to troubleshoot and develop prototypes with high complexity.
  • Develop and maintain a 3yr roadmap for team to align with company objectives and manage and collaborate with appropriate resource to maintain and calibrate prototyping equipment.

Key Requirements

  • Associate degree or program certificate in machining
  • 5+ years prototype manual machining experience
  • 3+ years leadership experience overseeing machinists
  • 5+ years CNC programming using Mastercam
  • Ability to design/develop parts
  • Ability to interpret GD&T
  • Good problem-solving skills
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
