Job Summary

  • Determine the acceptability of specimens for testing according to established criteria and perform routine and complex technical procedures and functions according to departmental Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Monitor, operate and troubleshoot instrumentation to ensure proper functionality and demonstrate the ability to make technical decisions regarding testing and problem solving.

Key Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in science or Clinical Laboratory Science
  • 1 year of clinical laboratory testing experience
  • 2 or more years of blood bank experience
  • ASCP or AMT certification
  • Ability to pass a standardized color vision screen
