Job Summary

  • The Director of Staff Development (DSD) is responsible to plan and implement facility orientation, job skills training, in-service education, and a Certification Training Program (if applicable) for the nursing assistants as required by regulations.
  • Coordinate and participate in the recruiting and hiring of staff, coordinate payroll and employee benefit programs, and supervise staff, including taking or assisting with appropriate disciplinary measures.
  • The DSD also provides direct resident/patient care and coordinates infection control surveillance program.
