Job Summary
This role involves acting as a data scout to identify, evaluate, and onboard high-value alternative datasets that drive business outcomes.
The successful candidate will own the end-to-end lifecycle of third-party datasets, from discovery and market mapping through negotiation and ongoing value management.
You will partner with Product, Engineering, and Legal teams to define evaluation frameworks, validate data signals, and ensure successful commercial integration.

8+ years alternative data sourcing experience
Vendor management and negotiation skills
Signal validation and efficacy testing
Market mapping and landscape analysis
Commercial contracting strategy

Experience in hedge fund or asset management
Familiarity with API, SFTP, and cloud delivery methods
Proficiency in SQL or Python for data analysis
Background in data cataloging and metadata management
Key Requirements
8+ years in alternative data sourcing or vendor management
Deep familiarity with alternative data ecosystem
Strong analytical comfort reviewing sample files and documentation
