Skills & Requirements

Must-have

  • 8+ years professional software engineering experience
  • 4+ years building PHP backend systems in production
  • Strong expertise with Laravel framework and testing
  • Experience designing robust REST APIs and background jobs
  • Deep understanding of relational databases MySQL PostgreSQL
  • Cloud environment experience AWS containerization Docker CI/CD
  • Solid grasp of distributed systems fundamentals and event-driven architectures

Nice-to-have

  • Experience with Swoole Laravel Octane or PHP performance platforms
  • Familiarity with analytical columnar stores such as ClickHouse
  • Hands-on experience with observability tooling Datadog Sentry
  • Experience building shared libraries platform components or internal tooling

  • Experience with AWS cloud environments and Docker containerization
  • Understanding of distributed systems patterns like idempotency and eventual consistency
