The City of Tucson is seeking an Emergency Vehicle Technician to join its Fleet Management Division, which specializes in maintaining a fleet of emergency response vehicles. The ideal candidate should have extensive experience with various vehicle systems, certifications, and the ability to work in both indoor and outdoor environments

Job Summary

  • The Tucson Fire Fleet Management Division is proud to be certified as an ASE Blue Seal Repair Facility.
  • This position performs preventive maintenance and repairs on Class 3 or higher vehicles, or construction equipment, or mining equipment and requires the ability to work in a busy environment, on-call on a rotating schedule, weekends and holidays as needed.

Key Requirements

  • Four (4) years of relevant experience
  • City of Tucson Forklift Operator certification
  • Valid and unrestricted Arizona Class B Commercial Driver License (CDL)
  • 28 ASE and EVT certifications required
  • ASE Master Automotive Technician (A1 – A9)
  • ASE Master Medium/Heavy Truck Technician (T1 – T8)
  • EVT Master Fire Apparatus Technician (F1 – F6)
  • EVT Master Ambulance Technician (E0 – E4)
