Job Summary

  • This role supports the design team focused on developing next-generation UAV systems and their subsystems from concept through detailed design.
  • The position requires hands-on programming in CAM and operation of 3-axis to 5-axis CNC milling machines for prototype fabrication.
  • Candidates must be currently enrolled as an undergraduate pursuing a Mechanical Engineering degree with 2 to 4 years of related experience.

Skills & Requirements

Must-have

  • Currently enrolled in Mechanical Engineering degree program
  • 2-4 years related experience required
  • 5+ years CAM tool experience (MasterCam/Surfcam)
  • CNC vertical machine operating experience
  • Proficient with SolidWorks CAD software

Nice-to-have

  • Experience with SolidWorks EPDM preferred
  • Background in designing tooling or test equipment
  • Understanding of structural dynamics problems
  • Knowledge of environmental shock and vibration testing
  • Ability to work in fast-paced deadline-driven environment

Key Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Must be currently enrolled in Mechanical Engineering undergraduate program
  • U.S. person status required under ITAR regulations
  • 5+ years current experience using CAM tools
  • Demonstrated competence in mechanical engineering processes
