Job Summary

• The Corporate Purchasing Agent role is designed to develop and implement all stated goals and objectives related to commodity management, obsolete inventory management, contract bidding, contract management, sourcing, vendor selection, pricing, data analysis, continuous improvement projects, and supply chain management.
• Responsibilities include overseeing commodity production and distribution, minimizing obsolete inventory, initiating and negotiating vendor contracts, ensuring contract compliance, pursuing current and prospective vendors, analyzing data for RFQ opportunities and spend reports, and identifying commodity opportunities for cost savings.
• The role requires maintaining close communication with vendors and internal customers to ensure zero-downtime initiatives are achieved and coordinating with suppliers and operations to prevent potential disruptions.
