Job Summary

  • The Associate Director will serve as the University’s Empowered Official for export controls and oversee the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of UF’s research security and export control compliance programs.
  • This position ensures compliance with federal regulations including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), Export Administration Regulations (EAR), and Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) sanctions, while promoting a culture of integrity, innovation, and global collaboration.
  • Key Responsibilities include leading UF’s research security program in alignment with federal guidance, conducting research security risk assessments, and developing targeted training and awareness initiatives.
