Job Summary

  • To assist the nursing staff in the rendering of patient care by providing direct and indirect patient care under the guidance and direction of the registered nurse and in accordance with UMMC policy and nursing practice laws and regulations.
  • Performs all duties of a hospital tech, which include but are not limited to the collection and recording of vital signs, activities of daily living, turning patients, linen changes.
  • Requires occasional exposure to unpleasant or disagreeable physical environment such as high noise level and exposure to heat and cold, occasional handling or working with potentially dangerous equipment.
