Job Summary

  • Positions in this job family are assigned responsibilities involving the coordination, supervision, and direction of a correctional security program, maintaining security, control, and custody of inmates.
  • At this level employees serve as a correctional security captain with overall responsibility for the operations of an assigned shift within a correctional security facility, as well as supervision of staff.
  • Employees may be designated as peace officers and required to meet specific training and screening requirements.
