  • The Accelerator Division’s RF Department is seeking an Electronic Technician with experience in radio frequency to join the team supporting PIP-II high level RF systems and other electronics.

Must-have

  • High power RF equipment operation
  • Electronic circuit fabrication and assembly
  • Use of electronic test equipment
  • Precision mechanical measurements
  • Safe use of hand and power tools
  • Testing devices with high voltages and currents

Nice-to-have

  • Experience in DOE laboratory environment
  • Basic computer skills in Excel and Word
  • Excellent verbal communication in English
  • Ability to work occasional overtime
  • Ability to work with chemicals and epoxies

Key Requirements

  • HS degree or technical certificate plus 5+ years related experience
  • 3+ years experience at DOE laboratory or strategic technical skill
  • Ability to lift 40 pounds and climb stairs/ladders
  • Pass electrical, environmental safety, and radiation training
  • Legal operation of cars and light trucks
  • Must obtain and maintain HSPD-12 PIV Credential
