Must-have
Active NC Certified Peer Support Specialist certification
Lived experience with substance use and recovery
Virtual communication via smartphone and app tools
Flexible availability including evenings and weekends
Private space for confidential virtual sessions
Nice-to-have
Experience supporting women who inject drugs
Familiarity with HIV prevention or PrEP services
Knowledge of North Carolina community resources
Background in harm reduction or recovery coaching
Experience with virtual mobile health programs
Key Requirements
High school diploma or GED equivalent
NC Certified Peer Support Specialist license at time of hire
Minimum 18 months established in own recovery
Pass background check and required health screening
