** Nationwide Children's Hospital is seeking a Pharmacy Technician for its inpatient pharmacy to work evening shifts. The role involves preparing and dispensing medications, ensuring regulatory compliance, and training new staff, with specific scheduling requirements, including weekends and holidays. **

Job Summary

  • Aids pharmacists in the preparation and dispensing of patient medications, sterile products, TPNs, non-sterile medications, hazardous medications, and ADC medications and supplies, and ensures the delivery of these medications to nursing units.
  • Demonstrate appropriate knowledge of and compliance with USP 795, 797, and 800 standards and other regulatory requirements, which allow safe and accurate preparation and/or compounding of unit-dose medications (both oral and IV), including reconstitution when applicable.
  • Fills unit-dose medication cart for daily delivery; delivers unit-dose medication carts on time and according to designated workflow; restocks pharmacy work areas, pharmacy satellites, and ADCs with medications and supplies as needed; and inspects medication storage areas for expired or unusable medications pursuant to standards set forth by the regulatory agencies.
