Skills & Requirements

Must-have

  • Perform routine respiratory care procedures
  • Initiate and maintain mechanical ventilators
  • Respond to Code Blue emergencies immediately
  • Obtain and analyze arterial blood gases
  • Maintain airway using manual resuscitators

Nice-to-have

  • Collaboration with interdisciplinary healthcare team
  • Cost and time efficient therapy recommendations
  • Patient assessment skills and chart review
  • Teamwork in assisting with patient flow

Key Requirements

  • Associate degree in Respiratory Therapy or Cardiopulmonary Science
  • State Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or NBRC RRT certification
  • Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS)
  • 1+ years critical care experience preferred
