Job Summary
The Physical Therapy Assistant, under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist, performs patient testing and/or procedures, administers a program of therapeutic exercise/treatment, and provides instruction and demonstration for patients.
Patient care is documented daily and accurately utilizing approved hospital and department documentations system reflecting patient response to treatment, actual performance, and treatment summaries if needed.
Communicates with families and patients in a caring and compassionate manner on issues regarding patient progress and problems, available home programs, and the therapeutic process.
