Performs technical duties and fieldwork related to the inspection, maintenance, and operation of state-maintained roads, bridges, and transportation infrastructure.
Work involves assisting higher-level technicians, engineers, and supervisors in a variety of highway maintenance and construction activities.
The employee must be able to lift 40 to 50 pounds, work in high traffic areas, at heights over water or traffic, extreme temperatures, uneven terrain, and during nights and weekends if necessary.
