Job Summary

  • Administer patient assessments, oversee the assessment process, setting the assessment schedules and assuring that assessments are done in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Prepare and administer medications as ordered by the physician and ensure that prescribed medication for one resident is not administered to another.
  • Participate in developing, planning, conducting, and scheduling in service training classes that provide instructions on “how to do the job,” and ensure a well educated nursing service department.

Key Requirements

  • Current, unencumbered, active license to practice as an LPN/LVN
  • Current CPR certification
  • Nursing Degree from an accredited college or university or graduate of an approved LPN/LVN program

  • Ability to apply mathematical concepts
  • Knowledge and skills for age-related resident needs
  • Ability to push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of 25 pounds
