** The University of British Columbia is seeking a Research Ethics Review Associate responsible for overseeing the ethical review processes of research studies submitted to the UBC Okanagan Behavioural Research Ethics Board. The ideal candidate will possess a relevant undergraduate degree, significant experience in research ethics or related fields, and strong analytical and communication skills. **

Job Summary

  • The position is responsible for facilitating whether research study proposals submitted primarily to the UBC Okanagan Behavioural Research Ethics Board are acceptable on ethical grounds by implementing and monitoring ethical review processes and standards.
  • This position works independently for all aspects of coordinating and reviewing REB applications within the office and collaboratively with the REB Chair(s) and members.
  • Non-compliance with contractual terms and/or sponsoring agency guidelines could result in the return of agency funds, loss of future funds and/or inability to collect funds owed to the University.
