Job Summary

  • The Advanced Practice Clinician will provide Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) cooperatively with Corrections Health and Harm Reduction Program teams to support patients with substance use disorders.
  • Employees are eligible for a 10% hourly premium plus shift differentials for swing, graveyard, and weekend shifts, along with a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, and PERS retirement.
  • This position qualifies for the Federal Student Aid Public Service Loan Forgiveness program after 10 years of service with Multnomah County.

Skills & Requirements

Must-have

  • Prescribe buprenorphine for substance use disorder
  • Conduct MAT evaluations and treatment plans
  • Perform wound care and STI diagnosis
  • Order and interpret laboratory studies
  • Provide HIV PrEP and contraception services

Key Requirements

  • Master's Degree in Nursing
  • Oregon Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant License
  • DEA License required
  • Previous experience prescribing buprenorphine
  • Passing background check and fingerprinting
  • COVID-19 vaccination or approved exemption
