The Certified Surgical Technologist organizes, directs, and performs activities related to instrumentation, sterilization, and supplies utilized for patient care in the operating room.
Daily assignments include preparing the operating room, assisting the surgeon, and managing inventory of surgical instruments and supplies before and after operations.
This role requires a High School Diploma or GED, graduation from an accredited surgical technologist program, and certification as a CST or TS-C.
