Job Summary

• Provides assistance to management including: knowledgeable of policies and procedures; assists and participates in education of employees on equipment, policies and procedures needed to operate or function a particular work area(s); addressing staff and/or customer questions and concerns (as well as informing management of such situations); and exercises occasional independent decision making.
• Guides and supports other students to sustain and maintain appropriate levels of operation service levels. Upholds a high level of professionalism and attention to friendly, accurate and prompt service; is expected to smile, greet and make eye contact at every customer interaction; ultimately responsible for providing an extraordinary dining and/or event experience.
• The Student Assistant will require excellent customer service and strong organizational skills and will represent the department and the university with the highest degree of integrity applying OSU mission and shared values.
