The Texas A&M Athletics Department is seeking an Athletic Academic Mentor to support student-athletes in achieving their academic potential. This part-time, temporary position requires a Bachelor’s degree and experience in an academic environment, emphasizing strong organizational and communication skills

Job Summary

  • The Academic Mentor will develop strategies for student-athlete’s individual learning style, working with assigned student-athletes to develop a professional relationship to maximize their academic potential.
  • Provide general instruction in study skills, note-taking skills, test-taking skills and guide student-athletes in the development of time management and in developing organizational skills.
  • Collaborate with Scholastic Supervisors and Learning Specialists about progress and individual student needs.
