The role requires extensive experience with embedded systems and programming in C/C++ and Python, alongside strong debugging skills. Skills & Requirements

Must-have

  • Extensive hands-on embedded software development experience
  • Strong proficiency in C/C++ or Python
  • Deep experience with ESP32 ARM Cortex SBCs
  • Strong understanding of low-level interfacing UART GPIO USB SPI I2C
  • Confident in Linux-based development environments
  • Strong debugging skills using JTAG SWD logic analysers

Nice-to-have

  • Experience delivering in secure defence environments
  • Knowledge of cryptography secure transport system design
  • Wireless experience Bluetooth UWB Wi-Fi
  • USB device drivers advanced USB comms expertise
  • RTOS bare-metal expertise
  • Embedded Rust experience or strong interest

Key Requirements

  • Must be eligible for DV clearance (British Citizen)
  • UK residency required for the last 10 years
  • Degree in relevant discipline preferred or equivalent experience
  • Professional membership BCS IET is a plus
