Job Summary

  • The City’s Seniors Services and Long-Term Care Division supports residents in long-term care homes to have the healthiest, most fulfilling lives possible through exceptional care and services.
  • Develops and implements rehabilitation programs for residents to improve or maintain level of functioning, or prevent or delay loss of functioning.
  • Records observations and progress on resident charts and documents assessments, program plans and ongoing evaluations using Point Click Care PCC software.

Key Requirements

  • post-secondary program in restorative care
  • equivalent of education and experience
  • Occupational Therapist Assistant & Physiotherapist Assistant (OTA & PTA) program preferred
  • experience in institutionalized environment
  • ability to maintain co-operative working relationships
  • ability to read, write and follow instructions
  • ability to work a variety of shifts
  • fundamental knowledge of exercise equipment
