Key Requirements

  • Security Officer Healthcare Certification (CHSO)
  • Armed Guard License (NC) or equivalent
  • NIMS Compliance Certification
  • Firearm Owners Identification (FOID) or CCW license
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum 1 year security or public safety experience
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Certified in Conducted Energy Weapon use
  • Stop the Bleed Certification
  • Illinois 40-hour armed course with pistol endorsement
  • Successful background, drug, physical, and psychological screening
