Job Summary

  • This position patrols the City and responds to complaints from citizens related to animals in violation of the Municipal Code, investigates animal bites, welfare/cruelty to animals and handles wild animals within the city limits.
  • Uses highly technical computer applications, such as GIS or MPS software in the vehicles and shelter/field management software in the office and in the vehicles.
  • Must reside within ten (10) miles of the city limits of Amarillo.

  • State of Texas Euthanasia Certificate
  • Pre-exposure rabies vaccinations
