Job Summary
The role is responsible for the preparations, inspections, and operations of air compressor and sandblasting equipment for maintenance work projects.
Candidates must perform sandblasting operations on vessels or craft while adhering to A-06 Port Operations and related preservation activities.
The position requires mixing epoxy and non-epoxy paints in accordance with U.S. Navy acceptable standards and applying preservatives to prepared surfaces.

Must-have
Sandblasting and painting equipment operations
Surface preparation of ferrous and non-ferrous materials
Mixing epoxy and non-epoxy primer paints
Application of marine preservatives and coatings
Maintenance of air compressors and blasting tools
Nice-to-have
Knowledge of U.S. Navy preservation standards
Experience with high pressure hydro-blasting machines
Familiarity with various substrate types like wood and fiberglass
Key Requirements
Minimum of three (3) years experience as Painter/Sandblaster
High School graduate and vocational or apprenticeship course
Must speak, read, and understand English language
Pass overseas medical screening and be in good health
Experience in Naval Repair Facility or commercial shipyard
