Key Requirements

  • Security Officer Healthcare Certification (CHSO) within two years
  • Valid driver's license required
  • Firearm Owners Identification (FOID) or Concealed Carry Weapon (CCW) license
  • Certified in Conducted Energy Weapon use within 90 days
  • Stop the Bleed Certification within one year
  • One year of experience in security or public safety
  • State of Illinois 20-hour Basic Security Officer course
