Caterpillar Inc. is seeking a Senior Design Engineer for its Drivetrain Structural & Cast Component team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in designing drivetrain systems and components, particularly in cast and forged designs, and will work onsite in East Peoria or Decatur, IL

Job Summary

  • Caterpillar's Drivetrain team designs drivetrain systems and components used across Caterpillar machines and OEM applications.
  • The Structures, Castings, and Forgings team designs many of the parts used within those components, providing design leadership through the entire lifecycle of the part.

Key Requirements

  • Proficient in Creo modeling and stress analysis
  • Experience designing cast and/or forged components
  • Demonstrate use of DFMEAs, APQP, and PPAPs
