Job Summary
The Patient Financial Services Representative serves as the first point of contact in greeting patients and guarantors, engaging with them to gather and verify all required demographic, financial, and insurance eligibility information.
Responsibilities include collecting patient out-of-pocket responsibility, providing patient estimates, preparing daily deposits, obtaining pre-certification and authorization, and explaining policies and securing signatures on consent forms.
This role requires excellent communication skills, critical thinking, decisive judgment, and the ability to work in a stressful environment while taking appropriate action and building collaborative relationships.
