Skills & Requirements

Must-have

  • Certificate II in Animal Studies or equivalent experience
  • Practical experience handling dogs and cats
  • Compassionate safety-conscious approach to animal care
  • Ability to maintain accurate records and documentation
  • Basic computer literacy and procedure adherence

Nice-to-have

  • Experience with chickens is desirable
  • Large animal experience with cattle horses pigs or sheep
  • Strong teamwork skills building positive relationships
  • Ability to work autonomously and use initiative
  • Supporting undergraduate practical classes and workshops
