Job Summary
The primary responsibility of your job position is to supervise the day-to-day nursing activities of the facility during your tour of duty in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines and regulations.
Essential duties include assisting the Director of Nursing Services in directing nursing activities, participating in policy development, ensuring reference materials are current, and making reports and recommendations to the Director.
The role requires ensuring sufficient licensed and certified nursing staff are available, developing work assignments, delegating authority, and making daily rounds to ensure personnel perform assignments in accordance with acceptable nursing standards.
