Role Overview The Technical Manager (SCADA) is responsible for providing overall technical leadership and governance for SCADA systems in MRT / rail projects, from system concept and design through integration, testing, commissioning, and handover. This role ensures technical integrity, compliance with rail standards, and effective coordination across engineering teams, vendors, and customers, while supporting successful project delivery. Key Responsibilities Technical Leadership & Governance • Lead and oversee the technical design, architecture, and integration of SCADA systems for MRT projects. • Act as the technical authority for SCADA, PLC, and related control systems, ensuring compliance with project specifications, rail standards, and safety requirements. • Review, approve, and manage engineering deliverables including system architecture, interface designs, drawings, software designs, and technical documentation. • Define and enforce technical standards, best practices, and QA/QC processes across the project lifecycle. System Design, Integration & Delivery • Oversee the implementation of SCADA/PLC systems from conceptual design through programming, integration, testing, and commissioning. • Manage and coordinate hardware and software integration, including system interfaces with other railway subsystems (e.g. signaling, power, OCC, depot systems). • Supervise Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), Site Acceptance Tests (SAT), and commissioning activities at factory and site locations. • Ensure robust change management for application software, configurations, hardware deployment, and system upgrades.
