Job Summary
The Communications Technician performs police department dispatch duties to include operating MultiAgency Radio Communications (MARCS) radios, computer-aided dispatch (CAD), security cameras and public safety systems.
Receives and responds to calls for service generated from telephone calls, system alarms, and customer interaction, and dispatches appropriate personnel.
Subject to call-in (24) twenty-four hours a day (7) seven days a week, working varied shifts and potentially overtime, holidays, or evenings outside of scheduled workday.
