** Barry-Wehmiller is seeking a Lead Mechanical Engineer in Chennai, India, to support the design and development of industrial machinery. The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in mechanical engineering, particularly in new product development and manufacturing processes, as well as proficiency in SolidWorks. **

Job Summary

  • Lead Mechanical Engineer will be reporting to the Engineering Leader and providing engineering support to Barry-Wehmiller divisions in design of product line variants, design modifications of existing machines, basic engineering calculations, concept development, and detailed design.
  • Perform concept/design/manufacturing reviews and participate in testing, safety, installation, commissioning and troubleshooting reviews with customer.
  • The candidate will be required to travel to other divisions of Barry-Wehmiller in US and Europe in the short term for training and project support activities.
