Key Requirements
High School diploma or equivalent
1 year security, law enforcement, or military experience
Armed police officer with Louisiana or Federal Law Enforcement Agency
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Certified Police Officer Standard Training Policy Academy completion
Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST) Certification or Military Police equivalent
Valid Louisiana driver’s license and clean DMV report
Crisis Prevention and Intervention (CPI) training
Firearms training
IAHSS Certification within 90 days of hire
Successful completion of FTO Program within 60 days
