Job Summary

• The Senior Estimator will be responsible for developing self-perform estimates for transmission and distribution bids, mainly for substations.
• This position will develop accurate bottoms up estimates in a credible and professional manner while minimizing risk to the company.
• The role requires reviewing RFP and engineering documents, detailed documentation of quantity take-offs, and constructability analysis.

Key Requirements

• Bachelor Degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related field and 7 years of direct project estimating experience
• Applicable experience may be substituted for the degree requirement
• Ability to work independently or in groups, think creatively and analytically, and make quick and sound decisions
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Expert with Microsoft Office, ConEst and K-base
• OSHA 10-hour certification required
• 4 years of self-perform substation estimating experience (Preferred)
• 8 years of experience with transmission & distribution EPC or construction contractors estimating in the field (Preferred)
• Extensive knowledge and experience developing estimates and bidding transmission and distribution construction work (Preferred)
