Job Summary

  • The Utilities Engineer is responsible for oversight of design, engineering, safety, and quality support in a wide range of utility equipment systems including Clean Steam, Purified Water, HVAC, Steam, Chillers, Compressed Air, Nitrogen, Process Gases, and Waste Treatment.
  • Accountable for the Utility Reliability Program, including executing maintenance strategies, managing CMMS data integrity, developing preventative maintenance procedures, and leading equipment replacement and upgrades.
  • Responsible for providing engineering expertise to support the design, installation, commissioning, and operation of fire protection, alarm, control, and life safety systems, as well as plant electrical systems, ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards.

Key Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • 5+ years of relevant experience with BS or 3+ years with MS
  • Experience with mid-to-large capital projects in the pharmaceutical industry
  • Design and working experience with electrical power distribution at 115kV, 15kV and 480v
  • Experience performing Power Systems Studies using analysis software (SKM Power Tools Preferred)
  • Experience in electrical and instrumentation design in hazardous locations
  • Experience in security and access control systems
  • Experience in fire alarm and smoke control systems
