Job Summary

  • The Medical Laboratory Scientist I in the Cytogenetics Laboratory will be responsible for performing a broad range of testing in Cytogenetics Wet Lab and Analysis, including processing specimens, cell culture, chromosome analysis, imaging, karyotyping, and reporting.
  • The position requires performing daily, weekly, and monthly QC and preventative maintenance, maintaining safe work practices, and following all regulatory requirements and procedures.

Key Requirements

  • Bachelor Degree in Medical Laboratory Sciences, Medical Technology, Biology or an ASCP approved discipline
  • ASCP Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS), Medical Technologist (MT), or Cytogenetics (CG) passed within 12 months of eligibility
  • BSMT or BSMLS degree in Cytogenetics
  • Previous clinical laboratory experience
  • Previous Cytogenetics experience
  • ASCP in Cytogenetics
  • Proof of legal authority to work in the United States
