Job Summary

  • This position provides professional legal services, rendering staff support and advice to the Rules Review Commission.
  • This position reviews permanent and temporary rules adopted by state government agencies and advises the Rules Review Commission on whether those rules are within the authority delegated to the agency by the General Assembly and are otherwise adopted in accordance with the Administrative Procedure Act.
  • This employee consults with state agencies to prepare rules for approval as required by the rulemaking process and also consults with interested persons from the public to facilitate the submission of information utilized by agencies and the Commission in making decisions whether to approve rules.
