Job Summary

  • Responsible for leading, planning, and implementing the preventive maintenance, inspection, and repair of School bus, light duty vehicles, and Support equipment.
  • Supervise a direct staff of 2-10 employees to ensure maintenance goals are met and manage all components of vehicle maintenance and garage functions.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance with all state and local laws and regulations related to vehicle maintenance and manage the inspection process.

Key Requirements

  • Vocational training in automotive technology or equivalent
  • Six (6) years of experience related to heavy or light vehicle maintenance
  • Five (5) years of experience managing a large work group
  • ASE Master Automotive, Medium or Heavy Truck and Master Automobile certifications preferred
  • Prior experience in supervising, directing, and/or training employees is preferred
  • Prior experience with Fleet Management Information systems (FMIS)
  • Advanced PC Skills - MS Office with an emphasis on Excel
