Provides direct patient care for a diverse patient population under the supervision of clinical staff.
Works collaboratively with clinical management, administration, physicians, fellows, residents, medical students, and other staff to maintain high standards of care.
Responsible for coordinating and prioritizing tasks and protocols established by the department and administration.

Key Requirements
active license issued by the State of CA Board of Vocational Nurse Examiners
Intravenous Therapy and blood withdrawal certification
active CPR BLS from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association
Ability to take vital signs, administer medications and obtain drug refills
Ability to recognize abnormal laboratory values
Knowledge of symptomatology of common and or life threatening medical problems
Interpersonal skills
Proficiency in computer skills
Knowledge of all safety requirements when handling biohazardous specimens
Verbal skills to effectively convey sensitive information
