Job Summary

• The Unit Educator for Surgical Services assists in coordinating the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the ongoing educational needs of Surgical Services staff.
• This role supports staff development by designing and delivering educational activities that enhance clinical performance, professional growth, and patient care outcomes.
• The Unit Educator collaborates with departmental leadership to develop competency plans, create and implement competency evaluations, and ensure staff maintain required clinical competencies.

• BSN or equivalent degree preferred
• BLS and BLS Instructor certification
• 3–5 years of perioperative experience
