Incumbents perform combination inspections across building, mechanical, plumbing, and electrical disciplines while reviewing third-party reports and managing daily inspection schedules.
The position requires mentoring other inspectors, translating technical requirements for diverse customers, and potentially acting as the Assistant Building Official.

Key Requirements
High School Diploma or GED
Four years trades experience plus two years as Combination Inspector II
State Plumbing Inspector License
ICC Residential and Building Inspector Certifications
Valid Class C Texas driver's license
State Air Conditioning & Refrigeration Certified Technician preferred
State Electrical License preferred
Obtain ICC Residential and Commercial Electrical Inspector Certification within one year
