Key Requirements

  • Completed Washington State CJTC Law Enforcement Basic Academy or equivalency
  • Successfully completed agency's law enforcement patrol Field Training Program
  • United States citizen or meet immigration requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 21 years of age
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Pass police application process (physical agility, interview, psych exam, background, polygraph, physical exam)
  • Ability to obtain a railroad police commission from the State of Washington
