  • The Associate Director Data Scientist will advance the digital transformation of NCSS by deploying data and nonclinical submissions solutions across NCSS functions to interrogate, analyze and interpret multimodal nonclinical safety data.
  • Success in this role requires strong matrix leadership skills, effective stakeholder management, and a breadth of biology and computational knowledge to translate key concerns and portfolio needs into meaningful data science solutions.
  • Partner with NCSS stakeholders, prioritize and implement NCSS data needs and use cases, including ensuring FAIR NCSS metadata.

Salary

Base: $137,000.00 - $235,750.00; Bonus/Equity: Not specified; Benefits: Vacation –120 hours per calendar year, Sick time - 40 hours per calendar year, Holiday pay –13 days per calendar year, Work, Personal and Family Time - up to 40 hours per calendar year, Parental Leave – 480 hours, Bereavement Leave – 240 hours for an immediate family member, Caregiver Leave – 80 hours, Volunteer Leave – 32 hours per calendar year, Military Spouse Time-Off – 80 hours per calendar year

Key Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Biology or Computational Science
  • 8 years of Data Science experience post-degree
  • Good knowledge of SAS required
  • Proficiency in programming (e.g. Python, R, SQL, Javascript)
  • Experience with Cloud Platforms (e.g. GCP, Azure, AWS)
  • Skill in data visualization and dashboarding tools (e.g. Spotfire, PowerBI, R-Shiny)
  • Proficiency in the use of statistical models and AI
