Job Summary

• The Sterile Supply Technician II functions as an integral member of the Central Sterile Supply team in assuring the safe and accurate supply of operative instrumentation.
• The Sterile Supply Technician II receives, inspects, sorts, decontaminates, re-builds sets, wraps instruments, sterilizes, and delivers surgical instrumentation.
• Final candidates are subject to successful completion of a background check, and a drug screen or physical may be required during the post offer process.

Key Requirements

• High school graduate or G.E.D preferred
• Previous experience in a relevant care setting preferred
• Graduation from an approved instrument processing training program preferred
• 1 course or 3 months experience in maintenance of surgical instruments
• 1 course or 3 months experience in sterilizing techniques
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide whole numbers
• Ability to read and write simple sentences
